R & K Millers RecipesThankyou to Sheila From Chorley. Beef Stroganoff. Make this the day before or let stand for at least six hours, and it uses only ONE pan!! For six; 1 1/2llb fillet beef, stripped. 2 onions, sliced. 3-4 oz butter and small amount oil, mixed for frying. salt and pepper. 8 oz mushrooms, sliced. 1 pint soured cream. English mustard powder. 1 1/2 tbsp. plain flour/cornflour. Fry onions in butter and oil only until ’golden’ coloured. Add the mushrooms to onions and then meat. Continue to fry gently for 5 mins. Add seasoning. Blend the sour cream with the flour, add to this the mustard powder to taste. Pour into pan and mix well. Cover the pan and allow to simmer for further 10 mins. Allow to stand until needed - if you can resist!! Then enjoy! |
